When I hear the term By-Product, the first thing that comes to my mind is pet food. You’re probably familiar with the term “meat by-product” that is commonly found in the most popular brands of cat and dog foods. But what about the too often overlooked by-products of exercise? One of the definitions of a by-product is a secondary result, or a side effect. So by-product refers to more than the parts of an animal carcass that us human carnivores do not find suitable, or enjoyable to eat.

Is Your Workout Too Wimpy?

No matter how hard you exercise, you can always find people who are exercising harder. As they speed past you on foot or bicycle, and lift seemingly superhuman amounts of weight at the gym, it’s only natural to wonder: Am I taking it too easy?

“It all depends on your goals,” say exercise physiologists James Hagberg, PhD of the University of Maryland, and Philip Clifford, PhD, of the Medical College of Wisconsin.

If your goal is to improve your health, you probably don’t need to exercise as hard as people who are trying to lose a large amount of fat, gain a large amount of muscle, or train for competitive sports.

Fat Loss Head Games – When Your Mind Makes Fat Loss Near Impossible.

Fat loss should be easy. It certainly looks easy on paper. What makes it tough is the fact that we tend to over complicate things. The human mind comes up with all sorts of ideas that seem legitimate at the time, but are really just excuses to avoid change. My goal in this post is to call out the common lame excuses that get in the way of hitting fat loss goals. I don’t want this to be some generic bland post. Let’s dig deep into excuses. I’ll list some ones that I see consistently, but would love for you guys to continue in the comment section. I love digging into the psychology of achievement, success, etc.

How to do Wall Balls

Wall Balls is a silly name for an exercise, I know, but that’s what you get when you borrow exercises from Crossfit. In fact, Wall Balls are a great conditioning exercise that builds full body stamina and endurance. It will also make you sweat.

This is an exercise that integrates perfectly into a high intensity interval training (HIRT) circuit, and can also be used to build high intensity interval training (HIIT) sessions, but do not translate that well into Tabata training. <
